Salehe Bembury Marks New Era with ‘Osmosis’ Sneaker and Rizzoli New York
·

Salehe Bembury has launched his independent footwear brand, Spunge, debuting its first silhouette, the Osmosis. In a move that solidifies his status as a titan of modern design, the launch coincides with the release of his career-spanning monograph, “I MAKE SHOES,” a collaboration with the esteemed art book publisher Rizzoli New York.

The Osmosis sneaker is a testament to Bembury’s fifteen years of experience in the industry, showcasing a design that merges performance technology with a lifestyle aesthetic. At the heart of the shoe is the proprietary SQUISH TECH™ cushioning, a foam system encased within a stability cage that provides both comfort and support.

To celebrate the release of his book, Bembury has released a special Spunge x Rizzoli Osmosis colorway. This limited-edition version features a sophisticated all-grey palette, from the mesh upper to the innovative midsole, with a subtle Rizzoli logo on the toebox.

Bembury’s new book, “I MAKE SHOES,” offers an intimate look into his creative journey. The 368-page volume is filled with sketches, renderings, samples, and stunning photography, chronicling his iconic designs for brands like Versace, New Balance, and Crocs, alongside the development of his own Spunge label.
This dual release marks a pivotal moment for Bembury, who is taking full creative control to bet on his own unique vision. The Spunge Osmosis and the Rizzoli are now available here.
